Generator Panel
Perkins Generator Panel
The generator panel is easy view with the door closed through the window or open as you see here. It is easy to quickly see engine and alternator status with the indicator lights or gauges. Operation is monitored by a generator controller that takes care of automatic starting and stopping. Low oil, high temperature and some other fault conditions such as battery charging are also monitored.
The panel is easily opened for access to wiring, fuses and relays. Each wire is labeled and easy to trace making service much easier then on other generators.
Built in battery charger (seen on the right side) is powered by the mains power and keeps the battery charged up. This eliminates the need for regulator engine starting to recharge it.
