Perkins or Laidong Engine?

Aurora Generators provides some options when it comes to customizing a generator to fit your needs. Choose from either Perkins or Laidong engines. Laidong engines have a life expectancy of over 10,000 hours. This is a lifetime of use for most customers.  For commercial use or as a prime source of power, we recommend Perkins brand engines instead. You can expect double the lifespan from them.

Huayuan Laidong has been manufacturing engines 1943. They have an excellent reliability and performance record. The same engine used on our generators can also be found on Farm tractors and backhoes.  Parts cost less and are easily available through Aurora and many farm tractor dealers.  Perkins has their own engine warranty and worldwide parts supply.
