LP/Natural Gas Adapter for Small Engines![]() The photo shows a typical adapter that is placed between the air filter and the carburetor on a gasoline engine when it is converted for propane or natural gas use. The Adapter has a hose running to it from the demand type Low Pressure Gas Regulator in our Tri-Fuel Conversions Kits. The center of the adapter has a venturi. Air flow creates a vacuum in the venturi and this vacuum draws in a metered amount of Propane or Natural gas through the jet. How much fuel depends on how much air is passing over the holes which depends on how far the throttle is open based on the governor. The amount of fuel is also controlled Low Pressure Regulator. There are different size adapters available depending on what kind of engine you have you have. They are all different sizes however all sandwich between the air filter and the carburetors. |
